Less impressive than K75, now replaced by the K1100. Heaviness and ugliness hidden by excellence of its finish and opulence of its brand name. Early models often had intrusive vibes, odd gearchange and weird handling. Masses of low rev torque saves it from obscurity. Neither the RS nor K1 cut it as sportsters. 16 valve head was introduced in the nineties, gave a touch more performance. Same problems as K75.
